The Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 1 released the 2023 personal property tax forms along with instructions. There are separate forms for tangible personal property, aircraft, watercraft, lessees, consignees, automobile dealers, and boat dealers. The instructions include: 1) tangible personal property tax returns filed after May 15, 2023, will not be allowed a discount; 2) taxpayers must file with the Property Valuation Administrator of the county of taxable situs by May 15, 2023; 3) returns postmarked after May 15, 2023, will be assessed by the DOR for the tax plus applicable penalties and interest; and 4) no filing extension .
