During certain times of the year, when fire danger is high, residential hazard reduction of dead vegetation is unsafe. Learn about alternatives to burning and understand all requirements before you apply. You must verify that burning is currently allowed in your county and that it is a permissive burn day. Once you've planned your burn and verified that your burn meets all local regulations, complete the Residential Burn permit application process through our application website. Provide all required information, watch a short safety video, agree to follow safety rules, and your permit, if approved, will be emailed to you.
