We provide intellectual property (IP) training to small groups in an informal and relaxed setting. Discussion is encouraged to help understanding of IP rights and their application to meet business needs.
Delegates will learn how to identify which IP rights are most relevant for their business and how to secure and apply these rights in a cost-effective and efficient manner to gain competitive advantage.

This course provides R&D scientists (e.g., chemists, biologists, physicists) and engineers (mechanical, chemical and software) involved in product development with a thorough understanding of how to protect their novel inventions. After an initial overview of IP rights (such as trade secrets, designs and copyright) the course focuses on patents, in particular how to identify patentable inventions, drafting patent claims and the patent application, and the filing and examination of the application before the national and regional intellectual property offices.
